Your Questions, Answered

  • I currently do not accept insurance, but accessibility is important to me. If cost is a barrier, please feel free to reach out. We can talk about sliding scale options or other forms of support. I’m also glad to share resources that may help you access care that feels right for you.

  • I offer both in-person sessions and virtual sessions through a HIPAA compliant platform.

  • The standard session length ranges from 55 to 85 minutes. Therapy sessions typically occur on a weekly or bi-weekly basis, but that may vary. The duration of therapy depends on the specific client and their individual goals. We will collaboratively determine the best plan for you!

  • Almost everything you say to me stays between us. However, there are some special circumstances where I may have to break confidentiality. I am a mandated reporter, so I am required by law to report abuse or neglect of a child, elderly adult, or vulnerable person. Additionally, if I believe you are a danger to yourself or others, I may have to break confidentiality. I may also discuss your case during counseling supervision or consultation, but identifying details are typically not disclosed, and I will always get your consent first.

  • Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if you’re used to masking, overthinking, or worrying about “doing it right.” Your first session with me is meant to feel supportive, not pressured. We’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable, and there’s no expectation to share everything at once.

We’ll spend time getting to know what brings you in, what feels most important right now, and what you’re hoping therapy might offer. I’ll ask questions, listen closely, and help us begin shaping a direction together. Most importantly, the first session is about building a sense of safety and fit so you can get a feel for what it’s like to be in the room with me and whether this space feels right for you.

You don’t need to have the right words or a clear plan. Just showing up as you are is more than enough.

  • Contact me via e-mail, text, or call and I’ll get back to you within 1-3 business days. From there, we can arrange a short phone consult or I can clarify any remaining questions via email. If it seems like a good fit, we’ll schedule a time to meet and begin therapy!
